"In the book entitled, The Alarm of Doomsday: The Beginning of the End of Human History, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan explains that God’s prophets have constantly told us that the present world will not be eternal, that it is perpetually on its countdown, and that a time will come when its term will expire, and it will come to its end. All these revelations and scientific facts are a declaration by the Creator that, according to His plan, this period of the world has come to its end. It is an Alarm of the coming of Doomsday when the first phase of human history will end. The beginning of the end of human history is upon us. The final time has come for all human beings to awaken and arise and discover their Creator and His creation plan for them and replan their lives according to it. The trumpet of Doomsday will awaken those who do not awake today, but that awakening will be of no avail to anyone. The greatest need of the hour is to acquaint all people with God’s message of the Creation plan of God. That is, to tell man why God created this world, the purpose of settling man on earth; what is required from man in his pre-death life span, and what he will confront after death. The Quran guides man throughout his entire journey right from this life to the next in the Hereafter."

In the book The Fire of Hell, the author explains that the most powerful motivating force in our lives is fear. Consciously or subconsciously, each and every person functions because of some real or imaginary fear. God has created man: He controls the vast universe and has complete power over man’s destiny. Anyone who truly believes this, will certainly fear God. But there is more to the matter than this: God will raise us up after death and will judge us according to our words and deeds on earth. We are responsible to Him for our actions. We must do our utmost to protect ourselves and others from the torment of hell fire. God’s prophets taught man the reality of life. According to their teachings, the real issue we face in life is how to avoid God’s punishment in the next world. We must prepare ourselves for meeting God and must exhort others to do the same. As Muslims, this is the basic task that lies before us. Other things that we desire in life can be ours only if we perform this fundamental task.

The Vision of Islam offers an explanation of the teachings of Islam in a contemporary style and aims at providing such an interpretation of Islam as will address the modern mind. Maulana Wahiduddin Khan wrote the Urdu edition of this book, Al-Islam in September 1975. At that time he felt that with this book his mission had come to an end. Subsequently, there was a change of circumstances and by special divine succour a full-fledged mission came to be launched on the basis of the ideology he had presented in his book Al-Islam. Today, in June 2013, by God’s grace, the English version of his book Al-Islam, entitled The Vision of Islam has been published. In 1975 there was just this one book. But today, by God’s grace, a universal mission has been established with more than 27 translations of the Quran and its commentary in the modern idiom, more than 200 books, and thousands of audio and video lectures. The mission has, further, been institutionalized with the establishment of Islamic Centre in 1976 and Centre for Peace and Spirituality (CPS International) in 2001 through the efforts of thousands of volunteers who are disseminating this literature globally. One who reads this book will obtain an insight into the ideology of the Islamic mission.

"In the present book entitled Women in Islamic Shariah, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan tries to clear the notion that to interpret the Islamic concept of woman as “degradation” of woman is to distort the actual issue. A Study of the Quran and Hadith tells us that in Islam a woman enjoys the same status as that of a man. The Quran says: “You are members one of another.” (3:195) There is no difference between the two as regards status, rights and blessings, both in this world and in the Hereafter. Men and women can be likened to a cart running on two wheels. Each of the wheels contributes equally to the running of the cart. Even if only one of the wheels goes out of order, the cart will stop. The way a cart traverses its path with the help of the two wheels, in exactly similar way, with mutual cooperation of men and women, the system of life can be run efficiently. Thus, the biological division of human beings into male and female is the result of purposeful planning by the Creator. Further, the book elaborates the place of women in Islamic Shariah."
